Jeremiah 31:3

This is a poem I was given from the Lord on May 1, 2007. The words are from Him alone. It was exciting for me to pen them down. May it encourage you! --- Amanda

--------------------------------------------------------------

Liars, thieves, and mockers of You
Trampling down love and so much that You do

Adulterers, prostitutes, and dead corpses walking
For thousands of years it's to us You've been talking

Filthy, bloody, and blind yet unwilling
To look past ourselves and come to the One we've been killing

Dirty and stubborn, a believer of lies
We are these for whom the Son dies

Upon a cross filled with grace
Lifting sins' stains without trace

New birth, new life, with eyes now we see
A glimpse of the depth of Your mercy

New creations, men walking with Life
Filled with Peace no matter what swirling strife

Surrounds and awaits to ensnare
Away from You, us it will not tear

Joy and hope now abiding within
And You welcoming us home eternally without sin!!!

Good stuff!I like how you wrote it with almost a chiastic structure...starting out with description of death, sin, etc. and bringing it back around to walking with Life, etc. Very well done.
